2006 Erik Banti Carato Toscana
Region: Italy

Very clear and vivid ruby red color, with strong, intense heady.aromas. Subtle and stylish with hints of morello cherries, redcurrants, ripe berries and a pleasant undertone of young oak. 2008 Pravis Müller Thurgau San Thomà
Region: Lasion, Italy
 

An elegant Müller Thurgau of light straw color, San Thomà presents integrated notes of tropical fruit and freshly-cut hay. Its flavor is strong and clear, and it is easy-to-drink, a quaffer, meant to be drunk young. 2008 Wild Rock Pinot Noir
Region: Central Otago, New Zealand

This succulent Pinot has hedonistic aromas of strawberries and raspberries, plums, wild thyme and floral undertones. The palate is medium bodied, soft and supple with sweet strawberry, raspberry, cherry characters, a hint of dried herbs and fine lingering tannins. 2007 Este De Bodegas Alto Almanzora

Region: Almeria, Spain


There are only 10,000 cases of Alto Almanzora’s 2007 Este, a blend of 45% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo, and the balance Syrah, Garnacha, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is sourced from the little-known DO of Almeria located in eastern Andalucia in the south-east of Spain. The wine was aged for six months in French and American oak. Deep purple in color (remarkably dense for its humble price), it offers up a kinky, full-blown nose of smoke, spice box, and wild blueberry. Ripe, succulent, and layered, this bargain-priced, hedonistic effort totally over-delivers. Buy it by the palette load and drink it over the next three years. 90 Points – Wine Advocate

2005 Barbi Sangiovese
Region: Umbria, Italy


100% Sangiovese, refined for three months in American oak barrels. Deep ruby red in color with garnet reflections has an ample and persistent bouquet of fruit and underwood. 2007 Sawbuck Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Mendocino County, California
 

One of Robert Parker's 50 Domestic Wine Values and a GOLD MEDAL winner at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Aromas of red raspberries and dusty chocolate are prevalent with hints of toasty oak and spice. This Cabernet Sauvignon is soft in the palate with layers of berries, cocoa, spice and silky tannins.
